Ancient Kingdoms & Emerald Bays
Vietnam is a country of extraordinary contrasts — where ancient imperial cities stand alongside French colonial architecture, where emerald limestone karsts rise from jade-green bays, and where the aroma of pho and fresh herbs fills every street corner. The Indochine Heritage Voyage is a 7-day north-to-south journey through Vietnam's most iconic destinations: the chaotic energy of Hanoi, the ethereal beauty of Ha Long Bay, the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An, and the vibrant modernity of Ho Chi Minh City.
Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi, and transfer to your hotel in the Old Quarter. Hanoi, Vietnam's capital for over 1,000 years, is a city where French colonial boulevards meet ancient pagodas and chaotic motorbike traffic. After freshening up, explore the Hoan Kiem Lake and the iconic red Huc Bridge leading to the Ngoc Son Temple on a small island in the lake. In the evening, take a cyclo (three-wheeled bicycle rickshaw) tour through the 36 streets of the Old Quarter — each street historically specialised in a different trade. Join a street food walking tour: try bun cha (grilled pork noodles), banh mi, egg coffee, and fresh spring rolls at local eateries.
February to April for the best weather across all regions. November–January is good for the south. May–October is monsoon season (varies by region — north is wet in summer, south in autumn).
